Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 Malayalam radio station, reports that the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, has launched a new advanced project aimed at improving labour market productivity in the UAE.
The initiative is built on artificial intelligence, smart algorithms, and robotics technologies, and forms part of a broader government framework focused on deploying self-executing “Agentic AI” systems. The project aligns with national efforts to modernise the workforce and was introduced under the vision of UAE leadership to strengthen digital transformation and economic competitiveness.
Officials say the project is designed to support the UAE’s goal of building a more productive, diversified, and balanced labour market while attracting skilled professionals and global talent. It also aims to respond to major global shifts in employment and industrial practices driven by automation and AI.
Set to begin implementation in May 2026, the system will introduce objective evaluation mechanisms for work permit applications. These assessments will be based on indicators such as professional skills, educational qualifications, work experience, and accumulated knowledge.
A key feature of the project is the automation of up to 50% of services using Agentic AI, allowing systems to independently manage routine administrative workflows. It also includes the integration of AI-powered robotics in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and infrastructure to improve efficiency and enable real-time decision-making.
Authorities emphasized that the initiative is not intended to replace workers but to enhance human productivity by reducing repetitive tasks and enabling employees to focus on creative and strategic responsibilities.
The project is also expected to support private sector growth, with projections indicating increases in employment and improved compliance levels as part of broader economic development goals. It aligns with major national strategies, including the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the UAE Digital Transformation Strategy 2031.
Officials described the launch as a strategic step toward strengthening the UAE’s position as a global hub for innovation, talent attraction, and AI-driven economic growth.
