Xiaomi has officially unveiled its new Xiaomi 17T Series in the UAE, introducing significant upgrades in photography, battery life, display technology, and performance. The latest lineup includes the flagship Xiaomi 17T Pro alongside the standard Xiaomi 17T, marking the first time the company has offered two different size options within its popular T Series range.

Leica-powered 5x telephoto camera headlines the upgrade

A standout feature of the Xiaomi 17T Series is the introduction of a Leica-engineered 50MP 5x telephoto camera on both models.

According to Xiaomi, the telephoto system supports:

  • Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS)
  • Macro photography from as close as 30cm
  • Up to 10x optical-grade zoom
  • Up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom

The Xiaomi 17T Pro also adds advanced video capabilities, including 4K recording at 60 frames per second with cinematic background blur effects, targeting content creators and mobile photography enthusiasts.

Both smartphones feature triple-camera systems built around a 50MP main sensor. The Pro model uses a larger 1/1.31-inch sensor, while the standard Xiaomi 17T features a 1/1.55-inch sensor. Xiaomi says its Leica Summilux lens technology is designed to deliver improved detail, enhanced dynamic range, and stronger low-light performance.

The series also introduces Leica Live Moment, a feature that captures movement and expressions before and after a photo is taken, offering a more dynamic photography experience.

New eye-care display technology

Xiaomi has also focused heavily on display comfort with the introduction of Xiaomi Vision Care technology.

The company says the Xiaomi 17T Series is the first in its lineup to receive TÜV Rheinland’s quadruple eye-care certification, alongside Xiaomi’s Intelligent Eye Care certification.

Both devices feature:

  • 1.5K AMOLED displays
  • Peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits
  • Improved outdoor visibility

The Xiaomi 17T Pro offers a smoother 144Hz refresh rate, while the Xiaomi 17T supports up to 120Hz refresh rate for fluid scrolling and gaming performance.

Largest battery ever in an international Xiaomi smartphone

Battery performance is another major focus of the new lineup.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a massive 7,000mAh battery, making it the largest battery Xiaomi has ever included in an internationally released smartphone.

Charging capabilities include:

  • 100W wired HyperCharge
  • 50W wireless HyperCharge

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17T comes equipped with:

  • A 6,500mAh battery
  • 67W wired HyperCharge support

Powerful new MediaTek processors

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor built on a 3nm manufacturing process.

The standard Xiaomi 17T uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra platform, offering strong performance for everyday tasks, gaming, and AI-powered features.

UAE pricing and availability

In the UAE, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is available in Blue, Purple, and Black colour options, with prices starting from Dh2,899 depending on storage configuration.

The Xiaomi 17T is offered in Purple, White, and Black variants, with pricing beginning at Dh2,399.

As part of the launch promotion, eligible buyers will also receive complimentary subscription offers, including:
