Residents across the UAE can expect fair to partly cloudy conditions on Thursday, November 20, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Low clouds are forecast to move in from the west, particularly over the sea and islands.

The NCM issued red and yellow fog alerts early in the morning as visibility dropped in several areas. The dense fog led to delays for some school buses, with multiple listeners also reporting similar disruptions to Gold 101.3 FM, highlighting widespread low-visibility conditions across the morning commute.
Sharjah Police urged motorists to drive carefully, maintain safe distances, and reduce speed during foggy periods.

In Abu Dhabi, authorities activated their speed reduction systems along Sweihan Road and the Abu Dhabi–Al Ain Road. Drivers were advised to pay close attention to fluctuating speed limits triggered automatically by deteriorating visibility.

Humidity is expected to increase by Thursday night and into Friday morning, especially over coastal and internal regions.

Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the northeast to northwest. Fresh westward winds may stir up dust at times, with speeds ranging between 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h in some areas.
Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf—becoming rough westward—and slight in the Oman Sea.

Temperatures are set to dip, with Dubai reaching lows of 23°C, Sharjah 18°C, and Abu Dhabi 21°C, offering residents a noticeably cooler start to the weekend.
