Actor Mohanlal’s love for Argentina football is well known, and the superstar once again showed his support as he watched Argentina’s FIFA World Cup 2026 semifinal clash against England at Atlanta Stadium.
Mohanlal has followed Argentina through some of football’s biggest moments, travelling to Brazil in 2014 to watch the World Cup final against Germany and later witnessing Argentina’s dramatic title triumph over France in Qatar in 2022.
The actor’s passion for the team continues to make headlines, with Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No. 1 radio station, bringing you updates as Mohanlal joined thousands of fans celebrating Argentina’s thrilling comeback victory.
At Atlanta Stadium, Mohanlal was seen cheering passionately among Argentina supporters dressed in the team’s iconic blue and white colours. Videos of his celebrations with fans have gone viral on social media.
Joining him for the match were actor Fahadh Faasil and musician Stephen Devassy. Stephen shared pictures from the stadium, including a selfie with Mohanlal, calling it a “Pulimurugan selfie” and describing the FIFA experience with Lalettan, Fahadh and friends as a special moment.
Mohanlal, dressed in black, and Fahadh, wearing a colourful shirt, are expected to remain in Atlanta for the World Cup final on July 20, where Argentina will face Spain. Earlier, Mohanlal had also proudly worn an Argentina jersey, once again showing his unwavering support for the reigning champions.
