The Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) has ordered the recall of two insecticide products sold under the brand name “Goodbye All Insects” as part of ongoing efforts to protect consumer health and ensure that all products in the UAE market comply with approved regulatory and safety standards.

The recall covers “Goodbye All Insects Max Kills in One Spray” and “Goodbye All Insects”, both manufactured by SCITRA. According to EDE, the action follows the detection of regulatory and technical violations linked to the marketing of products that were not registered with the authority.

In addition, the establishment identified discrepancies in the concentration levels of active ingredients in one of the products, noting that they did not meet approved specifications and relevant international standards.

As reported on Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 Radio Station, one of the recalled products was also found to contain d-Trans Allethrin, a prohibited substance, leading to its immediate withdrawal from the market to prevent circulation and reduce potential risks to consumers.

EDE stated that it is working closely with relevant regulatory authorities across the UAE to remove the affected products from retail stores and online platforms in accordance with established procedures.

Consumers who have purchased the products have been urged to stop using them immediately and are advised not to buy, sell or distribute them further. Authorities have also asked the public to follow official safety guidelines to help protect public health.

The recall forms part of broader efforts by UAE regulators to strengthen oversight of pesticides and other consumer products that may impact health and the environment, while ensuring compliance with national and international safety standards.

EDE reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, proactive risk management and cooperation with regulatory partners across the country to respond swiftly to potential safety concerns and maintain confidence in the UAE marketplace.
