Salman Khan has clarified that his recent viral social media post about being “alone and lonely” was misunderstood, after growing concern among fans over the actor’s emotional well-being.

The post, shared weeks after the death of one of his close friends, quickly sparked widespread discussion online, with many fans speculating that Salman may have been going through a difficult personal phase. The actor’s cryptic caption was widely interpreted as a reflection of loneliness and emotional strain.

However, addressing the speculation through Instagram on Tuesday, Salman dismissed the assumptions and insisted that the message was not about his personal life.

“I was not talking about myself,” the actor clarified, adding that it would be impossible for him to feel alone because he is surrounded by an “amazing family and wonderful friends.”

Salman further explained that the post was simply expressing a general thought and not an indication of emotional distress. He admitted that he occasionally feels exhausted from constantly being around people and sometimes prefers spending time alone.

“Sometimes I get tired of being around people and need some me time, that’s all,” he said, adding humorously that even his mother, Salma Khan, became worried after seeing the online reaction.

“My mother kept asking me, ‘What happened, son?’ Relax, guys,” Salman said while reacting to the viral discussions.

The controversy began after the actor shared a shirtless photo on Instagram with the caption:
“By I me myself, 2 ways to be by yourself, Alone and Lonely, Alone is by choice n lonely when nobody wants to be with u….. Ab iske aage, you figure out what you need to do.”

While many fans praised the actor’s fitness and appearance, it was the emotional tone of the caption that attracted attention and triggered concern across social media platforms.

The reactions intensified further because the post came shortly after Salman mourned the death of his close friend Sushil Kumar, whom he had known for over 42 years.

In emotional tributes shared earlier, Salman described Sushil as someone who was “like a brother” and remembered him as kind, generous and positive even during difficult moments.

The actor wrote that no matter the situation — financial, emotional or physical — Sushil would always reassure others that “everything will be fine.” Salman also reflected on life, mortality and the inevitability of death in a separate post following his friend’s passing.

Amid the online conversations surrounding Salman’s viral posts and personal reflections, Gold 101.3FM UAE’s No.1 radio station continues to track major entertainment and celebrity updates followed closely by fans across the Gulf region.

On the professional front, Salman Khan is currently preparing for his upcoming film Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The project was earlier titled Battle of Galwan and is reportedly inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. Reports suggest the film has undergone changes in both title and storyline, although an official release date has not yet been announced.

The actor is also expected to headline another major project alongside Nayanthara. Tentatively titled SVC63, the film is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. Industry reports indicate the film is targeting an Eid 2027 release, with shooting already underway.
