After a challenging few months marked by controversies surrounding Don 3 and the FWICE dispute, Ranveer Singh appeared to be back in high spirits as he attended Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar’s wedding reception on Wednesday.
The actor brought his trademark energy to the star-studded celebration, where he reunited with longtime friend and Gunday co-star Arjun Kapoor. The duo turned the evening into a nostalgic Bollywood moment by taking over the dance floor and grooving to their 2014 hit song Tune Maari Entriyaan from Gunday, leaving guests and fans excited.
Gold 101.3 FM, the UAE’s No. 1 radio station, continues to bring the latest updates from the world of entertainment and Bollywood.
Fans welcomed Ranveer’s appearance as a sign that the actor had moved past the recent headlines surrounding the Don 3 controversy. The issue began in December 2025 when Singh stepped away from the much-awaited franchise, in which he was set to take over the role previously played by Shah Rukh Khan.
Ranveer cited changes in the script as the reason for his decision to exit the project. The timing of the announcement drew further attention as it came shortly after the release of Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar on December 5, 2025, which became a major box-office success for the actor.
For weeks, Ranveer maintained silence over the matter. The situation gained more attention after Don 3 producers Excel Entertainment, led by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, addressed the fallout, reportedly highlighting production challenges, scheduling issues and difficulties caused during the pre-production phase.
Ranveer’s team later responded, stating that the actor preferred professional disagreements to be handled privately and respectfully. His spokesperson said Singh believed such matters should be resolved with “dignity, maturity, and mutual respect” while expressing his continued respect for the film fraternity and the Don franchise.
The controversy later extended to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), after the actor challenged what his team described as a “shadow ban”. FWICE eventually withdrew the action, providing relief to Ranveer following weeks of public discussion.
The reception marked Ranveer Singh’s first major public appearance after the controversy. Anshula Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and sister of actor Arjun Kapoor, married Rohan Thakkar on July 5 in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends.
The wedding reception featured several Bollywood personalities, including Alia Bhatt, Rekha, Bobby Deol, Varun Dhawan, Jackie Shroff, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh.
Anshula and Rohan first met through a dating app in 2022 and made their relationship public on Instagram in 2023. The couple got engaged in October last year before beginning their wedding celebrations with a Mata Ki Chowki ceremony at Anshula’s home in June.
