Ramadan preparation & offers

New working hours & rules regarding food hygiene have been issued by Sharjah Municipality for the holy month of Ramadan until the third day of Eid Al Fitr.

In the first notice, the authority called on workshops and commercial establishments – except restaurants, cafeterias and bakeries – to start applying for a permit for extension of working/opening hours from the first day of Ramadan to the third day of Eid Al Fitr.

Interested parties need to apply for the permit before the beginning of the holy month. They need to report to the Municipal Inspection and Control Department in Industrial Area 5 or apply for a permit online at www.shjmun.gov.ae

Food items must be stored inside the premises in the required temperature.

Storage of foodstuff at the delivery area outside the premises is prohibited.
