Actor Pranav Mohanlal made a rare public appearance alongside his sister Vismaya Mohanlal as he arrived at a Kochi theatre to watch her debut film ‘Thudakkam’ on its first day of release.

Pranav was accompanied by Vismaya and their mother Suchitra Mohanlal for the special screening. His presence came as a surprise to fans, as he has largely stayed away from the film’s promotional activities despite being part of the film’s initial announcement event.

According to entertainment updates followed by Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 radio station, Pranav had not attended the recent promotional event held at Kochi’s Crowne Plaza, which was attended by Mohanlal, Suchitra and Vismaya. His appearance at the theatre, therefore, became a special moment for fans who gathered to catch a glimpse of the siblings.

Videos from the occasion surfaced online, showing Pranav and Vismaya arriving together. One clip showed Pranav holding Vismaya’s hand as they moved through the crowd, reflecting his support for his sister during an important milestone in her career.

Another video captured a heartfelt moment between the siblings during a media interaction. Vismaya, who has appeared nervous during some promotional appearances, briefly turned towards Pranav before speaking. He responded with a reassuring wink, a small gesture that fans interpreted as a sign of encouragement and confidence.

The moment received widespread attention, especially because Pranav, despite being an actor himself, has always maintained a low profile and rarely appears in public events.

The first show of ‘Thudakkam’ was also attended by producer Antony Perumbavoor and his son Aashish Antony, who plays a prominent role in the film.

Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, ‘Thudakkam’ marks Vismaya Mohanlal’s entry into acting. The screenplay has been written by Lineesh Nellikall, Akhil Krishna and Jude Anthany. The film also features a guest appearance by Mohanlal, while he and Suchitra have been actively supporting the film’s promotional journey.

For Vismaya, the release of ‘Thudakkam’ marks the beginning of her acting career. On a day that placed her in the spotlight, her brother’s quiet presence beside her became a memorable reminder of the family support behind her first step into cinema.
