The much-awaited film Patriot is just hours away from hitting theatres, with fans eagerly counting down to its grand release. Adding to the excitement, a recent video call between Mammootty and Mohanlal, joined by Kunchacko Boban, has gone viral on social media. The interaction was streamed live on Mammootty’s Instagram account and quickly became a talking point among fans.
Reporting from Gold 101.3 FM – UAE’s No.1 Malayalam Radio Station, the video call showed Mohanlal joining from New York, where he is currently based for stage shows in the United States, while Mammootty and Kunchacko Boban participated from Kerala.
During the lively conversation, all three actors expressed their excitement about the release and encouraged audiences to watch the film in theatres. Mammootty revealed that he might travel to Dubai on Friday morning and plans to watch the film there, while Kunchacko Boban said he would be in Bengaluru and would catch the film from there.
The discussion soon turned light-hearted and engaging, with Mohanlal noting that it had been a long time since the two legendary actors came together on screen. He added that the film would release in the US around 11:30 PM local time and that he intended to watch it then. When Kunchacko Boban asked who the hero of Patriot is, Mammootty jokingly replied that Kunchacko himself is the hero, while Mohanlal added that every character in the film carries both heroic and negative shades.
Kunchacko Boban also highlighted that this would be the first time the Gen Z audience experiences a Mammootty–Mohanlal collaboration in theatres.
