The makers of Bethlehem Kudumba Unit have unveiled the film’s first song, Maanthrikam, offering audiences their first musical glimpse of the much-anticipated romantic comedy starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju. The film marks the first on-screen pairing of the two popular actors and is set for a grand theatrical release during the Onam season on August 21.

Maanthrikam is sung by veteran playback singer M. G. Sreekumar, with music composed by Vishnu Vijay and lyrics written by Vinayak Sasikumar. The song also marks a special milestone, as it is the first time M. G. Sreekumar has lent his voice to a song featuring Nivin Pauly.

The recently released announcement poster featuring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju walking along a railway platform carrying travel bags received an enthusiastic response from fans, further raising expectations for the film. Positioned as a feel-good romantic comedy, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is expected to be one of the major festive releases this Onam, promising romance, humour and family entertainment.

The film is directed by Girish A. D., one of Malayalam cinema’s most successful young filmmakers. Girish has earned widespread acclaim with consecutive hits including Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya and the blockbuster Premalu. His collaboration with Nivin Pauly has generated significant excitement among moviegoers.

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit also marks the first collaboration between Nivin Pauly and Bhavana Studios, the production house behind several acclaimed Malayalam films. It is the banner’s sixth production venture and arrives as its first release following the massive commercial success of Premalu.

The film is produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil and Syam Pushkaran under the Bhavana Studios banner. The screenplay has been co-written by Girish A. D. and Kiran Josey.

Joining Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju is a strong ensemble cast that includes Sangeeth Prathap, Suresh Krishna, Bindu Panicker, Vinay Forrt, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Shameer Khan, Srinda, Parvathy Ayyappadas and Meenakshi Raveendran, among others.

The film was shot over a schedule spanning more than 100 days, with principal photography taking place across multiple locations including Chalakudy, Pollachi, Goa, Hyderabad and Kuttikkanam.
