The makers of Kattalan have released the fiery new track ‘Blood on Tusk’, offering audiences a powerful glimpse into the film’s intense action-packed world. Backed by Cubes Entertainments, the production house behind the blockbuster Marco, the song has already generated strong buzz among movie lovers for its raw energy, electrifying visuals and fierce combat-driven atmosphere.

Directed by Paul George and produced by Shareef Muhammed, Kattalan stars Antony Varghese in the lead role alongside Dushara Vijayan, Sunil and Kabir Duhan Singh in pivotal roles.

Composed by acclaimed music director Ravi Basrur, the song captures the emotional intensity and violent action backdrop of the film. The track is sung by Santhosh Venky and Ira Udupa, featuring English rap and lyrics penned by Rohit Siddappa. The visuals showcase high-energy confrontation sequences involving the lead cast, further heightening anticipation for the film’s release.

Kattalan is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 28, with advance bookings reportedly receiving an overwhelming response. The film has also secured the top position on IMDb’s list of the most anticipated Indian movies of the year.

The trailer hints at a dark and violent narrative centred around ivory smuggling, elephant poaching, revenge and survival. According to the makers, the film promises never-before-seen visuals, intense bloodshed and large-scale action sequences designed as a grand cinematic spectacle.

Following the success of films such as K.G.F and Kantara, Ravi Basrur reunites with another ambitious action project through Kattalan. Kannada composer B Ajaneesh Loknath is also contributing to the film’s music. The music rights have been acquired by T-Series, while Shemaroo will handle digital and satellite distribution.

Meanwhile, Hombale Films has secured the Karnataka theatrical distribution rights for a record amount, while Phars Film has acquired overseas distribution rights.

The makers have earlier revealed that the elephant confrontation sequences in the film were shot using a real elephant rather than VFX, adding to the realism and scale of the production. The film, mounted on a grand budget with extensive technical support, is expected to be one of Malayalam cinema’s biggest visual spectacles.

The ensemble cast also includes Jagadish, Siddique, Anson Paul, Baby Jean, Parth Tiwari, Hipster Pranav Raj and several other Malayalam and Pan-Indian performers.

The film’s action sequences are choreographed by internationally acclaimed stunt director Kecha Khamphakdee, known for his work in films including Ong Bak 2, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Jawan and Ponniyin Selvan: Part I.

The screenplay is written by Paul George, Joby Varghese and Jero Jacob, while dialogues are penned by Unni R. Cinematography is handled by Renadive and editing by Shameer Muhammed. Additional promotional music for the film is being composed by Nihal Sadiq.
