Leading the list is Vaazha II (Malayalam), starring Hashir, Alan, Vinayak and Ajin. A sequel to the 2024 hit Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys, the film continues the journey of four friends as they step into adulthood, dealing with responsibilities, changing relationships and personal struggles. Known for its realistic storytelling, the film keeps things grounded while allowing its characters to grow naturally. Vaazha II is streaming on JioHotstar from May 8.

In Hindi, Lukkhe dives into Chandigarh’s underground rap scene, capturing the intense rivalry between two aspiring artists chasing the same dream. What begins as a creative clash soon turns into a personal battle, where ambition and ego collide. The film also marks the acting debut of popular Indian rapper King. Lukkhe is available on Amazon Prime Video from May 8.

Malayalam audiences can also tune into Bharathanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam, directed by Krishnadas Murali. The sequel brings back Sasidharan Nair and his family, who once again find themselves caught in a web of crime and chaos. Blending humour with suspense, the film features Saiju Kurup in the lead, alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vinay Forrt and Jagadish. It is streaming on Netflix from May 8.

Meanwhile, Dacoit (Telugu/Hindi) offers a gripping mix of action and emotion. Starring Adivi Sesh as Haridas and Mrunal Thakur as Saraswati, the film follows a fugitive seeking revenge, only to uncover deeper truths about love, betrayal and circumstance. As a dangerous robbery unfolds, past wounds resurface, adding layers to this intense narrative. Dacoit is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video from May 8.
