Malayalam cinema’s most iconic franchise, Drishyam 3, continues its strong run at the box office. By its seventh day, the film has officially entered the 200 crore club. It marks the third film of Mohanlal to achieve this milestone, following Empuraan and Thudarum.
Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 Malayalam radio station, reports that the film is still going strong into its second week, with screenings continuing in around 500 theatres across Kerala.
Released on Mohanlal’s birthday, the film has been receiving highly positive responses. Director Jeethu Joseph has once again crafted a gripping emotional thriller, blending together powerful and memorable performances from Mohanlal.
Alongside Mohanlal, actors Meena, Esther Anil, Ansiba Hassan, Siddique, Asha Sarath, and Murali Gopy reprise key roles in the film. Along with returning characters from the first two installments, Drishyam 3 also introduces a few new faces.
The global theatrical and digital rights of the Malayalam original have been acquired by Panorama Studios, who are also producing the Hindi version of the film. Reports suggest that Pen Studios, a major Bollywood banner, has invested around ₹100 crore in Aashirvad Cinemas through Panorama Studios.
Meanwhile, the Hindi remake starring Ajay Devgn has already completed shooting and is slated to hit theatres on October 2, 2026.
