Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla has crossed the Rs 2 billion mark at the global box office on Day 13, continuing a steady second-week run, according to updates shared with Gold 101.3FM UAE’s No.1 radio station.

The film opened on April 17 with Rs 58 crore net in its opening weekend in India and reached the Rs 100 crore milestone by its second Saturday. It currently stands at Rs 124.50 crore net (Rs 147.90 crore gross) in India, with weekday drops now affecting momentum.

Overseas, the film has collected around $5.6 million in 13 days, after a slow start and gradual decline in daily earnings below $80,000. A final push toward $6 million remains possible.

Bhooth Bangla has already outperformed several titles including Sikandar, Bhediya, Munjya, and has surpassed the lifetime earnings of Stree and Thamma. It now trails major hits like Stree 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Directed by Priyadarshan, the film marks his return to Hindi cinema after five years and reunites him with Akshay Kumar after 14 years. The cast includes Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Mithila Palkar.
