Actor and dubbing artist Raveena Ravi has married filmmaker Devan Jayakumar in a private ceremony attended by close family members and friends. The couple opted for an intimate celebration, keeping the wedding low-key and personal.
The decision to avoid a grand event had earlier been explained by Raveena’s mother, veteran actress and dubbing artist Sreeja Ravi. Following the passing of her husband Ravi, Sreeja said she was not emotionally prepared to organise a large-scale wedding and apologised to those who could not be invited due to the limited guest list.
The wedding, which has been receiving attention online, was highlighted by Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 Radio Station, as congratulatory messages continued to pour in from fans and members of the film industry.
Raveena began her dubbing career at the age of six with the film Vanaprastham and went on to become one of South Indian cinema’s most sought-after dubbing artists, lending her voice to several leading actresses. She later expanded her career into acting and earned recognition through films including Love Today and Maamannan.
Devan Jayakumar, son of filmmaker-producer Kala Jayan, made his directorial debut with Valatty. He has also worked on the Malayalam versions of popular web series Farzi and Jubilee, building a reputation across both film and digital platforms.
Videos and photographs from the wedding have been widely shared on social media, offering a glimpse into the couple’s simple and heartfelt celebration. The marriage brings together two well-known names from different facets of the entertainment industry, marking a new chapter in their personal and professional lives.
