Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh made his first public appearance early Tuesday morning, just hours after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a Non-Cooperation Directive (NCD) against him over his reported exit from the upcoming film Don 3.

The actor was spotted arriving at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai during the early hours. Videos circulating online showed Ranveer Singh maintaining a low profile as he entered the airport terminal amid growing controversy surrounding the project.

Dressed in a simple kurta-pyjama paired with a Nehru jacket, the actor appeared alone and was accompanied by security personnel. Wearing sunglasses and a face mask, he avoided interacting with photographers and quietly proceeded towards the terminal without addressing the media.

The appearance came shortly after FWICE officially announced disciplinary action against the actor. In its statement, the federation said it had decided to issue a Non-Cooperation Directive against Ranveer Singh following complaints related to his alleged withdrawal from Don 3 during the pre-production stage.

The complaints were reportedly submitted by filmmakers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, who claimed that the production suffered significant setbacks and financial losses after the actor reportedly exited the project at a crucial stage.

FWICE honorary general secretary Ashok Dubey criticised the actor’s reported decision during a press conference, stating that workers associated with the federation, including cameramen, spot boys and technicians, would refrain from working with Ranveer Singh until the dispute is resolved. He added that several individuals had invested nearly three years of work into the project.

Meanwhile, Excel Entertainment, the production house behind Don 3, has reportedly sought compensation of nearly ₹45 crore for expenses incurred during the film’s pre-production process before Singh’s alleged withdrawal.

Shortly after the directive was announced, Ranveer Singh issued an official response through his spokesperson. The statement said the actor holds deep respect for the film fraternity and everyone associated with the Don franchise. It further noted that Singh had intentionally chosen to remain silent during recent developments, believing that professional matters and personal relationships should be handled with dignity and mutual respect.

The statement also clarified that despite several narratives and speculations emerging publicly, the actor did not consider it necessary to respond publicly or contribute to conjecture. According to reports, Singh has maintained that the matter involves contractual issues that may ultimately require legal adjudication before the appropriate forum.

Despite issuing the boycott directive, FWICE indicated that it remains open to discussions with the actor. The federation stated that it is willing to meet Ranveer Singh, hear his side of the matter and work towards an amicable resolution that serves the interests of all parties involved.
