The teaser of Unmadam, starring Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose as a married couple, has been released, offering audiences a glimpse into an intense mystery-driven cop thriller with psychological and supernatural undertones.

The film marks the directorial debut of acclaimed editor Kiran Das, who won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor for Ishq. Over the years, Kiran Das has worked on several critically acclaimed Malayalam films including Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Joji, Moothon, Romancham, Rorschach, Joseph and Ela Veezha Poonchira.
The storyline follows a police constable struggling with personal and family crises while reopening a long-unsolved investigation believed to have supernatural links. As the inquiry deepens, the narrative reportedly blurs the boundary between reality and illusion.
The screenplay has been written by National Award-winning writer Shahi Kabir. The project also reunites Kunchacko Boban and Shahi Kabir after their previous collaboration in Officer on Duty.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Siddique, Sudheesh, Vishak Nair, Sabumon Abdusamad, Kottayam Nazeer, Gokulan, Shaju Sreedhar and Sijoy Varghese among others.
Panorama Studios, which is planning major investments in Malayalam cinema in the coming years, is backing the film along with T-Series.
The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series Films and Panorama Studios. It is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, with Ram Mirchandani and Rajesh Menon serving as co-producers.
