Kamal Haasan has said that he holds no jealousy towards Rajinikanth, but acknowledged that there is healthy competition between them in the film industry, reported by Gold 101.3 FM Entertainment Desk, the No.1 Malayalam radio station in the UAE, while responding to media queries in Madurai regarding Rajinikanth’s recent remarks.
Rajinikanth had stated on Sunday that he would not feel jealous even if Kamal Haasan became Chief Minister, just as Kamal would not feel jealous about actor Vijay becoming Chief Minister. It was in response to this statement that Kamal clarified his stance.
Kamal Haasan, who is also a Rajya Sabha MP and leader of Makkal Needhi Maiam, had visited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay on Saturday, where he submitted several suggestions aimed at the development of the film industry.
Congratulating Vijay on assuming office, Kamal also discussed his vision for the future of the state, while the Chief Minister shared his ideas and plans for Tamil Nadu’s growth.
