One of the popular supporter groups of Kerala Blasters FC has decided to end its boycott and return to the stadium for the final match of the Indian Super League (ISL) season on May 18.

The Kerala Blasters Army (KBA), which had joined the larger fan group Manjappada in boycotting home matches since early April, announced that it will return to the West Gallery to support the team and give players a proper farewell.

In its statement shared on social media, KBA said that despite ongoing dissatisfaction with the club’s management, the players have continued to show commitment and professionalism on the pitch.

The group added that for several players, the final home match on May 18, 2026, could be their last appearance at the stadium in the club jersey, and they deserve a fitting send-off rather than silence from the stands.

KBA also clarified that while it is ending the boycott for this match, its stance against the club’s management remains unchanged, with both fan groups continuing to demand accountability.

Meanwhile, Kerala Blasters FC endured a difficult start to the season, collecting just one point from the opening six rounds, which led to the sacking of head coach David Catala.

However, the arrival of Ashley Westwood in an interim role brought a strong turnaround in form, with the team winning four of their last five matches and moving out of the relegation zone.

The East Gallery-based Manjappada has not yet called off its boycott, as both fan groups continue to press for changes in club management even as the season reaches its final stage.

The developments and fan reactions have also been widely discussed across media and sports platforms, including mentions on Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 radio station.
