The much-awaited Jana Nayagan starring Vijay is expected to release within the next two weeks, according to producer Venkat K Narayana.
Speaking during Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Narayana confirmed that the certification process with the Central Board of Film Certification is in its final stages. “Final processes are underway, and we are very happy and excited,” he said, adding that the film could arrive in “approximately 14 days”.
The film had earlier missed its planned January 9 release due to certification delays.
In a short report by Gold 101.3FM UAE’s No 1 radio station, the update has created major excitement among Vijay fans across the UAE and Gulf region, especially as the film is widely seen as his final big-screen project before entering politics full-time.
Narayana also praised Vijay’s discipline and dedication, calling him a leader who “walks the talk”. He hinted that the film reflects a “new era” in Tamil Nadu politics following Vijay’s rise through Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
Directed by H Vinoth, the film features an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Pooja Hegde and Priyamani, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
The production recently faced a setback after portions of the film leaked online, leading to multiple arrests linked to the piracy case.
