Fans awaiting Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will have to wait a little longer, as the makers have officially announced another delay in the film’s release, scrapping its earlier June 4, 2026 theatrical debut in favour of a wider global rollout, as reported by Gold 101.3 FM – UAE’s No. 1 Malayalam Radio Station.

Backed by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the high-profile project has now been postponed twice, after initially shifting from March 19 to June 4. A new worldwide release date is yet to be confirmed.

The latest decision comes in the wake of the film’s showcase at CinemaCon, where it reportedly received strong interest from international distributors and industry insiders, further boosting its global expectations.

Actor-producer Yash said the response at CinemaCon strengthened the team’s belief in the film’s international potential.

“There are films we make, and then there are films that remind us why we fell in love with cinema. Toxic has been such a journey,” Yash said in a statement. “Presenting our film at CinemaCon and witnessing the overwhelming global response reaffirmed what we have always believed—that this film deserves to reach its fullest potential worldwide.”

He added that the delay is a conscious move aimed at expanding the film’s global impact.

“At a time when Indian cinema is finding its voice and stepping onto the global stage with such promise, each of us has a responsibility to raise the bar,” he said. “I see this moment as an opportunity to do my part for the Indian film industry and for all of us by taking the time to ensure our film reaches the world with the impact it is meant to have.”

Yash also thanked fans for their patience and continued support, acknowledging the extended wait.

“Some stories ask for patience. Some journeys demand it. We promise to give you a film to enjoy and celebrate.”

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, who co-wrote the film with Yash, Toxic features a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria.

Shot in both Kannada and English, the film will also release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, positioning it as a major pan-India and global cinematic venture.

While the repeated delays may test audience patience, the makers maintain that Toxic is being shaped not just as a film release, but as a worldwide cinematic event.
