Ajman has launched an ambitious Dh1.8 billion development programme that will deliver 30 major urban projects over the next five years, focusing on roads, green spaces, public facilities and improved mobility across the emirate.

Launched by Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the AM30x30 agenda aims to support the goals of Ajman Vision 2030 by creating a more sustainable, liveable and family-friendly city.

The projects are divided into five packages covering road infrastructure, sustainable mobility, public amenities and urban development. Sheikh Ammar said Ajman’s development journey will continue through projects that enhance quality of life and strengthen the emirate’s position as a place to live, work and invest.

Gold 101.3 FM, the UAE’s No. 1 radio station, continues to bring the latest updates on major developments shaping Ajman and the UAE.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, said the programme converts the emirate’s long-term vision into practical projects aimed at improving competitiveness and residents’ wellbeing. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi added that the projects were selected after specialised studies to balance urban expansion with environmental sustainability.

A major focus of the plan is upgrading Ajman’s road network to support population growth and ease congestion. The municipality plans to increase new road construction by 43 per cent between 2026 and 2030 compared with the previous five-year period, while expanding the cycling network by 33 per cent.

The first package includes six key road projects, including upgrades to Al Zorah Roundabout, Chinese Market Roundabout, Al Humaidiya Street, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Street, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Street and new pedestrian bridges on Rashid bin Abdulaziz Street and Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Street. It also covers stormwater drainage stations and landscaping along major roads and waterfront areas.

The second package focuses on internal roads in residential communities, including Al Rashidiya, Al Rawdah, Al Mowaihat, Al Yasmeen, Al Helio, Masfout and Al Manama. Additional works include a new stormwater drainage station on Sheikh Zayed Street and landscaping along Al Salam Street.

The third package includes Phase Two of Al Tallah Street, new roads in Al Helio and Mohammed bin Zayed residential area, widening and maintenance of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street, along with landscaping on Al Hajin Street.

To promote healthier and more sustainable transport, Ajman will develop 16 kilometres of new cycling tracks across Ajman City, Masfout and Al Manama. The plan also includes the Al Uqdah Walkway to provide more outdoor spaces for residents.

The final package focuses on expanding green areas, with around 330,000 square metres of new parks and community spaces planned in areas including Mohammed bin Zayed 2, Masfout, Al Manama, Al Yasmeen, Al Humaidiya, Al Rawdah and Al Muntazi.

The municipality aims to increase public recreational space availability to 4.79 square metres per person by 2030, creating more family-friendly destinations while supporting community wellbeing and sustainable urban growth.
