The new floating station will integrate marine transport with the Dubai metro and buses…

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled the UAE’s first floating station.

The floating station found at Dubai Festival City is aptly named Dubai Festival City Marine Transport Station and links the Jadaf to Dubai Festival City marine line with public buses and Creek Metro Station.

The move is set to improve travel for both residents and tourists, giving easier access to Dubai Festival City.

The abra service runs every 10 minutes between Dubai Festival City and Jadaf Stations daily from 7am until midnight at a cost of Dhs2.

Free WiFi is also available at the station – so there’s no need to miss out on your daily news.

The station is the first of several planned new marine stations in locations including Business Bay, Dubai Water Canal across Jumeirah beaches.
By 2020, a total of 55 marine transit stations will operate across Dubai.
