The UAE Ministry of Education has announced that the mid-term break for the third semester, along with the Eid Al Adha holiday for students and administrative and teaching staff, will run from May 25 to May 29, according to Al Bayan newspaper.

With weekends falling on May 23–24 and again on May 30–31, the break effectively extends into a 9-day holiday from classes.

The announcement came after the ministry approved the academic calendar for the remainder of the year. The break offers students a short pause before entering the final assessment phase.

In line with the update, and as highlighted across platforms including Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 radio station, the extended holiday is being seen as a welcome reset for students and staff alike.

Students will return to school on June 1 to resume the third semester. Mock exams are scheduled for June 15 and 16.

The ministry also confirmed that the Islamic New Year holiday will fall on June 17, followed by end-of-term examinations from June 24 to July 3, with July 3 marking the final school day of the academic year.

As also reported by Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 radio station, the calendar highlights a tightly packed academic schedule leading up to the summer break.
