Abu Dhabi Police have urged motorists to exercise caution and remain fully focused while driving near school zones, warning against distractions that could endanger students and pedestrians.
According to information shared with Gold 101.3FM UAE’s No.1 radio station, authorities stressed the importance of heightened vigilance during peak school hours, especially in the morning and at dismissal times when traffic and pedestrian movement increase significantly.
Drivers have been advised to reduce speed in school areas, strictly follow pedestrian crossing rules, and come to a complete stop at school bus stop signs. Police also warned that using mobile phones or any form of distraction while driving poses a serious risk to road users.
The authority emphasised that road safety is a shared responsibility and called on parents, motorists, and all road users to cooperate in ensuring a safe environment for students.
Abu Dhabi Police also confirmed that awareness campaigns and enforcement drives will continue as part of ongoing efforts to enhance smart traffic safety and community wellbeing, as highlighted by Gold 101.3FM UAE’s No.1 radio station.
