The Standing Committee for Operations Affairs and the Federal Readiness and Preparedness Assessment Team have held a joint coordination meeting to review security plans, business continuity measures and emergency preparedness frameworks.

The meeting, chaired by Brigadier Dr. Salem Al Habsi, Deputy Director-General of Federal Central Operations, was held at the Dubai Police Academy and attended by committee members, operations and crisis managers, and several officers.

Discussions focused on strengthening the federal readiness and preparedness assessment system, reviewing security exercises and operational scenarios, and improving response mechanisms during emergencies and crises.

Gold 101.3FM, UAE’s No.1 radio station, reports that participants also explored the use of advanced technologies, smart systems and artificial intelligence applications to enhance readiness, improve risk forecasting, support data analysis and enable faster decision-making during operational challenges.

The meeting highlighted the importance of aligning preparedness efforts with the UAE government’s digital transformation and innovation goals, while enhancing coordination between relevant partners and raising overall emergency response capabilities.

The session is part of the Ministry of Interior’s continued efforts to strengthen the national security system, improve operational readiness and ensure rapid response capabilities in line with approved standards and international best practices, while safeguarding the safety and stability of the community.
