Commercial LPG prices have been reduced by ₹192 per 19-kg cylinder, offering significant relief to hotels, restaurants and other commercial establishments. Following the latest revision, the price of a commercial cylinder in Delhi has dropped from ₹2,930 to ₹2,738, while in Kerala it has fallen by ₹197.50 to ₹2,774.
The reduction is expected to ease operating costs for businesses, although it remains unclear whether restaurants and hotels will pass on the savings to customers through lower menu prices.
Meanwhile, aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices have increased by ₹5 per litre, taking the price from ₹110 to ₹115 per litre, according to state-owned oil marketing companies.
This is the second consecutive monthly cut in commercial LPG prices after a ₹183.50 reduction on July 1. The latest drop follows a steep surge earlier this year, when prices jumped by ₹1,373 per cylinder between February and June amid the Middle East conflict, reaching a record ₹3,113.50 before beginning to ease.
The price of the 5-kg market-priced LPG cylinder has also been reduced from ₹808.50 to ₹762.
LPG prices are revised on the first day of every month based on international fuel prices and foreign exchange rates, with retail prices varying across states due to local taxes.
There is no change in domestic LPG prices, with the 14.2-kg household cylinder continuing to cost ₹942. Household LPG prices were last revised on June 7, when they increased by ₹29, following an earlier ₹60 hike in March.
Petrol and diesel prices also remain unchanged after their last revision in May, when both fuels were increased by around ₹7.50 per litre.
