The UAE has announced a public-sector holiday for the 54th Eid Al Etihad, which will be celebrated on December 2, 2025. Government employees will be off on December 1 and 2, giving them a four-day break when combined with the weekend. However, departments and entities that operate on rotating shifts, provide essential public services, or manage key facilities will set their own schedules to ensure uninterrupted services.

In Sharjah, public-sector employees will enjoy a longer break, with holidays on December 1 and 2 forming a five-day weekend due to the emirate’s regular Friday–Sunday weekend. Private and public school students in Sharjah will also benefit from the extended break, while students in other emirates will have a four-day holiday. The Ministry of Education has confirmed that classes will resume nationwide on Wednesday, December 3.

Other emirates, including Ajman, have also announced the holiday, giving government employees December 1 and 2 off before returning to work on Wednesday. The extended holiday allows both public-sector employees and students across the UAE to celebrate Eid Al Etihad with family and friends.
