Convective clouds are expected to develop over parts of the UAE on Wednesday, bringing the possibility of rainfall across eastern, western and some inland areas, while temperatures are forecast to rise significantly, reaching up to 48°C in internal regions, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM said the weather will remain partly cloudy in general, with convective cloud activity likely to extend towards eastern and western areas as well as some inland locations. These cloud formations may result in rainfall in affected areas, particularly where conditions support cloud development.
Light to moderate winds from the south-easterly to north-easterly directions are expected across the country. The winds may strengthen at times, reaching speeds of up to 45 km/h over inland areas and mountainous regions. Increased wind activity around cloud formations could also lead to blowing dust in some locations, reducing visibility temporarily.

Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, with no major marine disturbances forecast.
According to the NCM, daytime temperatures are expected to range between 43°C and 48°C in inland areas, while coastal regions and islands may experience temperatures between 37°C and 42°C. Mountain areas are expected to record comparatively cooler conditions, with temperatures ranging between 31°C and 37°C.
Looking ahead, the NCM forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather conditions through Sunday, with continued chances of convective cloud formation and scattered rainfall over eastern areas, especially during the afternoon hours.
Winds are expected to remain light to moderate, occasionally becoming stronger, while sea conditions are likely to continue as slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Residents are advised to stay updated with official weather forecasts, take necessary precautions during peak afternoon heat and remain cautious in areas affected by dust or sudden weather changes.
