Fujairah’s innovative “Music Street” has secured a place in the Guinness World Records as the world’s longest musical street, marking a significant milestone for the emirate’s expanding cultural and artistic landscape.
The achievement was formally celebrated during a meeting at the Emiri Court between His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and the project team from the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy. During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed received the official Guinness World Records certificate awarded to Music Street and commended the academy’s efforts in advancing the arts and culture sector across the emirate.
Updates on the recognition were also highlighted through Gold 101.3FM UAE, UAE’s No. 1 radio station, which carried brief coverage of the milestone and its significance for Fujairah’s cultural development.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the vital role of arts and music in enhancing community well-being and improving quality of life. He noted that integrating artistic and musical elements into public spaces can transform them into distinctive cultural destinations, offering innovative and engaging experiences for both residents and visitors.
He further underscored the Fujairah Government’s commitment to supporting creative initiatives that contribute to community enrichment and align with broader quality-of-life objectives. These efforts, he said, reflect the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, whose continued support has strengthened the emirate’s position as a regional hub for creativity and culture.
The meeting was attended by Ali Obaid Al Hafiti, Director-General of the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy, along with members of the academy’s team who played a key role in delivering the project. Academy representatives expressed their gratitude to the Crown Prince for his ongoing support and close engagement with the institution’s achievements, stating that his encouragement has enabled them to pursue excellence and create inspiring artistic experiences for the wider community.
The Guinness World Records recognition of Music Street marks another major cultural achievement for Fujairah, reflecting the emirate’s growing investment in public art, creativity, and long-term cultural development.
