MLA and actor Ramesh Pisharody has remembered late actor Salim Kumar, saying his true legacy lay in his character, kindness and humanity rather than just his on-screen humour.
Recalling a friendship spanning nearly three decades, Pisharody described Salim Kumar as a loyal, generous and principled person who always stood by his friends and never indulged in gossip or criticism of others.
As Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 Radio Station understands, their association began when Pisharody worked as manager of the mimicry troupe “Stallions,” founded by Salim Kumar, and their bond continued over several decades.
Pisharody also highlighted the actor’s curiosity and passion for learning, noting his enthusiasm for diverse interests ranging from animals to fish farming.
He added that Salim Kumar maintained his sense of humour even during difficult times and was known to respond to rumours about himself with laughter, reflecting his unique outlook on life.
Pisharody said Salim Kumar’s personality and values made him not just a celebrated actor, but a truly remarkable human being.
