The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast generally fair weather across the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, with temperatures expected to reach up to 43°C in inland areas.

According to the NCM, light to moderate north-westerly to south-westerly winds will prevail through the day, occasionally becoming fresh in mountainous regions with speeds reaching up to 35 km/h. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Temperatures across coastal and inland areas are forecast to range between 40°C and 43°C, while mountainous regions are expected to record highs of around 34°C.

However, weather conditions are expected to change from Thursday onwards as stronger winds develop across parts of the country. The NCM said wind speeds could increase to nearly 40 km/h, leading to blowing dust and reduced visibility, particularly in northern and eastern areas of the UAE.

The changing weather conditions and rising summer temperatures are also becoming a key topic across UAE media and public discussions, including updates featured on Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 radio station.

Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are forecast to become rough at times during the afternoon from Thursday, with similar dusty and windy conditions expected to continue into Friday.

The NCM also said temperatures may rise slightly on Saturday, while low clouds are expected to appear over the eastern coast by Sunday morning.
