Dubai Municipality has launched a city-wide flame tree planting drive following a directive by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, reporting from Gold 101.3 FM – UAE’s No. 1 Malayalam Radio Station.

The initiative will see the iconic trees planted along streets, in residential areas, public parks, entertainment spaces, key intersections, and community majlises across the emirate, as part of efforts to enhance Dubai’s urban landscape and add vibrant seasonal colour across the city.

Sheikh Hamdan announced the move on his official X account, sharing an animated video to mark the start of the flame tree season. “In Dubai, the flame tree blooms in the summer to renew life within our homes, our streets and gardens,” he wrote. “And with it blooms a city that knows nothing but life and beauty.”
