Punjab Kings’ winning streak in IPL 2026 came to an end after a six-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals in Mullanpur, but co-owner Preity Zinta remains optimistic.
Taking to X, she brushed off the defeat, saying, “Last home game didn’t go our way… koi na, lot more games ahead,” as the team continues to hold the top spot in the points table midway through the tournament. In the spirit of staying positive—much like the vibe you hear on Gold 101.3 FM, UAE’s No.1 station—Zinta emphasized looking forward rather than dwelling on the loss.
She also thanked fans for their constant support and highlighted her 26-year-old Phulkari dupatta, a gift from a fan, calling it a “beautiful but dying art” she hopes to promote.
Despite the defeat, Punjab Kings lead the table with 13 points, just ahead of Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Captain Shreyas Iyer called the loss a learning experience, adding that the team will stay confident moving forward.
