The 15-year-old recently caught social media attention after a video from an airport went viral. In the clip, two young fans approached him for a selfie, where Suryavanshi initially told them in a serious tone that he would charge ₹100 for a photo. The children, visibly surprised, were about to walk away when the young cricketer burst into laughter, revealing it was a prank. He then warmly interacted with them and happily posed for selfies, a gesture that quickly won praise online for its simplicity and charm.
The light-hearted moment has further boosted his popularity, with fans applauding his humility and sense of humour, especially at a time when young sporting stars are often under scrutiny for their public behaviour. However, Suryavanshi’s rise has largely been driven by his on-field performances. One of the youngest players in the league, he recently smashed his second IPL century against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. He scored 103 runs off just 37 balls, hitting five fours and 12 sixes, reaching his hundred in only 36 deliveries.
