Starting February 1, 2026, paid parking will be introduced in Dubai International City, ending its status as one of the few free-parking areas in the emirate. Parking will fall under Code Q, operating from 8am to midnight, with tariffs starting at Dh2 for 30 minutes and reaching Dh25 for 16 hours. Although meters are not yet installed, signage is already in place in areas such as the France and China clusters.

The move aims to ease severe parking congestion caused by residents, visitors, rental cars, and commercial vehicles. Many residents welcome the change, saying it will improve parking availability, especially in the evenings. Parkin has been expanding paid parking across Dubai, including Academic City, Sports City, Studio City, and Outsource City. Under Dubai’s Variable Parking Tariff Policy, peak rates apply during high-demand hours, while off-peak rates remain unchanged.
