Sharjah Police have announced that all vehicle owners must remove National Day celebration stickers by Saturday, December 6. Vehicles found displaying these decals after the deadline will face fines, according to an advisory issued by the Sharjah Police General Command.
The announcement follows the impounding of 106 vehicles and nine motorbikes during the 54th Eid Al Etihad celebrations due to serious traffic violations that endangered road users. These violations included excessive noise, reckless and dangerous driving, disturbing the public, and in some cases, operating vehicles without a valid licence. Customisation shops also saw a rise in demand as residents looked for creative ways to express their pride ahead of the celebrations.
