Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, fresh from the massive success of her latest film Lokah, has now started work on her next project — a women-centric film, sources close to the team confirmed to Gold 101.3 FM.
The film marks the directorial debut of Thiraviyam SN and is backed by Potential Studios, the banner behind several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films including Maya, Maanagaram, Monster, Taanakkaran, Irugapatru, and Black. This new project will be their seventh production.
Though the title is yet to be announced, Kalyani will headline the film, and expectations are already high following her recent pan-Indian blockbuster success. The cast also features Devadarshini and Vinoth Kishan — known for his role in Naan Mahaan Alla — both appearing in key roles.
The entire shoot is underway in Chennai, and with a strong ensemble and a promising production house behind it, the film is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
