A massive Sharjah-Dubai bridge with 9 lanes is under construction, increasing road capacity to 17,700 cars per hour.
High Traffic has been reported between Sharjah and Dubai, turning into the major problem for the commuters.
To end the traffic menace, A nine-line bridge will open for the commuters by August 2018 and traffic will be diverted from the congested routes.
The Bridge is expected to ease traffic on roads like Al Ittihad Road and the Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed (MBZ) Road.
The Dh200 million worth bridge is under construction on Emirates Road at Sharjah’s Al Badea area. The UAE’s Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MoID) overlooks the project.
The bridge has six lanes on Emirates Road and three lanes on the Sharjah-Maleha Road.
This bridge is projected to help to decrease the travelling time for the motorists and ease the evening traffic in Dubai.
