'Good conduct certificate' requirement for UAE work visa

The rule will come into effect from February 4, 2018.

A ‘good conduct and behavior certificate’ is mandatory for people, who are coming to the UAE to work.

This requirement will be implemented from 4th February.

The certificate should be issued from the country of origin of the person, or the place where the person has been living for past five years.

It should then be ratified by the state's mission, as well as the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The certificate is not required for tourists, as its mandatory for people working in the UAE and not their dependents or family members.

The government aims to make UAE one of the safest countries in the world.
